Filming for marketing purposes
Gozney Group Limited regularly carries out filming of recipe videos and lifestyle shoots to assist with our marketing and brand management. We run a studio kitchen where we shoot weekly recipe videos for our website and social media. We also regularly visit different locations to film guest chefs using our products on location. This filming may take place in a public restaurant or building, festival or other event where members of the public are present.
This is an integral part of our business and marketing strategy.
This generally affects staff of Gozney Group Limited, friends and family of staff of Gozney Group Limited, professional models and the general public.
Gozney Group Limited is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all personal information processed by Gozney Group Limited in accordance with our obligations under the General Data Protection Regulations and related requirements (GDPR). This privacy notice explains the personal information we may process about you due to your involvement in any filming activities we carry out.
What information do we process?
As part of our filming activities we do not envisage processing specific personal information about you unless you give it to us as part of your involvement in the filming, for example in an interview, where we may take your name.
Where photographs are taken, the arrangements to do so are facilitated and organised centrally by Gozney Group Limited. Photographs will be taken either by an authorised and identifiable member of Gozney Group Limited staff, or an affiliated photographer.
If you are invited to be a guest on any of our filming programmes we may take your name and your job title so that we can ask you specific questions relating to our products, your use of our products and your personal opinions about our products. Our presenters may also engage in general conversations with you during which you may disclose personal information to us.
We will only process personal information about you if you have given it to us. Once we have taken this information we will only use it for the purposes of the filming activity you agreed to participate in and we will request your specific consent to use it for any other purposes.

Member of the public at a public event
As we also film at general public events, it is possible that members of the public may be caught on photos or in film footage. If you are a member of the public at an event where we are filming, we may film you in the background of our event or in the audience. We do not envisage that this will involve processing personal information about you as you will not be identified in any way during the course of the video.
Your consent to photographs and film footage
Members of the public
Other than guests who have been specifically invited to participate in the filming, members of the public captured in photographs will not be named or personally identified in any way (although the name of an organization they are affiliated with may be identifiable if they are wearing any form of identifiable clothing). We therefore do not consider this would be seen as personal data under the GDPR.
Guests who have been specifically invited to speak on the programme may share personal information with us and be identified will only be filmed once they have provided explicit consent to us processing their information in this way.
If you chose not to provide consent you will not be able to participate in the photographs or filming activity and we will ask you to leave the premises to avoid you being captured inadvertently.
How do we use and share photographs and film footage?
We process these photographs for our internal communications and external marketing and business development purposes. These photographs may be used by Gozney Group Limited in our internal and external communications to publicise the company and our products.
This may include, for example, publication on our website, on social media, in external communications to our clients or in external publications, such as business magazines or news articles. We process this information in accordance with your specific consent and in line with our legitimate business interests to promote Gozney Group Limited.
How long do we use the images and footage for?
We refresh our marketing campaigns from time to time so that they remain current and up to date. However, if photographs or footage has appeared in the press or on social media, they may be around for ever. You can request deletion or withdraw your consent to processing in certain circumstances, but please note that this is not an absolute right.
Your rights in connection with your personal information
We will comply with data protection law and all photographs and film footage will be processed in accordance with our Data Protection Policy, which is available on our website. We will only retain photographs and film footage for as long as necessary to fulfil our legitimate business interests in producing internal communications and external marketing purposes. Once no longer needed, we will securely destroy or delete such photographs and film footage.
Under certain circumstances, by law you have the right to:
- Request access to your personal information (commonly known as a “data subject access request”). This enables you to receive a copy of the photographs and film footage that we hold of your participation, and to check that we are lawfully processing them.
- Request the erasure of your personal information, in this case any photographs or film footage of you. This enables you to ask us to delete or remove personal information within our reasonable control where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it.
- Request the restriction of processing of your personal information. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of personal information about you.
- Withdraw consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent for the processing of your photographs or film footage at any time. Once we have received notification of withdrawal of consent, we will no longer process your information that remains within our control. Please note that we are unable to control images posted onto the internet or withdraw them from circulation if they have appeared in the media (include social media).

Please note that we may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access the information (or to exercise any of your other rights).
We have appointed a data protection officer (DPO) to oversee compliance with our data protection obligations. You have the right to make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues.
